About Us
Chesapeake Dockside Services (CDS) is a veteran-owned and operated business based out of Annapolis, Maryland specializing in marine repairs and installations. CDS was founded by Chris Sjolie, a retired Air Force veteran, whose love for boats stems from growing up on and around the Chesapeake Bay.
His love for figuring out how things work culminated in the start of his Air Force career troubleshooting and repairing aircraft auto-pilot, navigation and instrument electronics on the F-4 fighter jet — eventually transitioning to numerous other analog and digital avionics and networked aircraft systems such as the C-5, C-141 and C-17.
Throughout Chris' career he has become uniquely proficient in multiple maintenance disciplines such as engine maintenance, low and high-power AC and DC systems as well as Project Management. With over three decades of this expertise, Chris is now doing what he loves best — being on and around the water, working on and repairing boats to bring about maximum performance and reliability for his clients' boats while getting to know and socialize with other local mariners.
